Teacher Mentor-Evaluator

Welcome To Jefferson Elementary School

Home of the Lil' Elks !

My name is Glen Wolfenbarger, but as everyone at JES simply calls me "Mr. Wolfenbarger".  I am so privileged to be the Teacher Mentor-Evaluator (Assistant Principal) at the school where I completed my student teaching and where I was a 4th & 5th grade teacher.  I am proud to be a "Lil' Elk"!

Prior to teaching, I was a University of Tennessee Agricultural Extension 4-H Agent serving in Greene, Hawkins, and Jefferson Counties for almost 12 years.  In 2005, I finally decided to follow my heart and become a certified K-8 classroom teacher.  I began my teaching career in Hamblen County and transferred back home to Jefferson County in 2008 where I plan to retire someday.  Prior to my current position at Jefferson Elementary, I was the Principal at Talbott Elementary School.

I want to welcome everyone to the BEST school, Jefferson Elementary School.  Where we EXPECT THE BEST from everyone, every day!  GO ELKS!!
